Clos Maggiore in Covent Garden has won a clutch of awards for being London’s most romantic restaurant. That’s quite a claim, but Clos Maggiore manages to live up to the hype, counting Prince Harry as one of its regular guests.

Styled on beautiful country inns in Provence and Tuscany, its wood panelled rooms, atmospheric candle light, retractable glass roof (wonderful in warmer months) and pretty foliage entwined around the walls and ceiling is truly enchanting.

The food matches Clos Maggiore’s elegant surroundings, with fine French cuisine presented with a flourish from the kitchen and the pre-theatre set menus are incredibly good value.
