Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports is UK’s top retail stores for outdoor, ski and mountaineering clothing and equipment with an 80 year family history. Beginning life in 1933 Manchester, Frederick Ellis Brigham made walking boots and cycling shoes. As mountaineering and climbing took off after the war, Brigham increased his range to include French and Italian boots used in the alpine valleys. Their first catalogue was published in the 60s which featured clothing, footwear and equipment for mountaineering, rock climbing, camping and skiing which was beginning to gain a following. Setting a standard for the outdoor retail marketplace, Ellis Brigham stores were the first in the UK to stock snowboards as the sport took off in the 80s.
