London's Most Colourful Hidden Courtyard

Tucked between the lively streets of the world-famous Covent Garden and slower-paced Seven Dial's neighbourhood, you'll find the iconic Neal's Yard. A pocket-sized splash of colour that feels worlds away from the crowded buzz of London's West End. It's the kind of place that feels like discovery whilst tucked away through narrow passageways.

Expect an array of independent cafes, wine bars and restaurants plus the globally known flagship, Neal's Yard Remedies.

London's Most Colourful Hidden Courtyard

The History of Neal's Yard

Named after the 17th-century property developer, Thomas Neale, the once hidden storage area with little appeal had its modern identity shaped in the 1970s when visionary entrepreneurs transformed the derelict space into the thriving hub it is now known as.

In 1976, environmentalist and entrepreneur, Nicholas Saunders purchased on of the empty warehouses with a vision to create a communal, health-focused hub centred around sustainable living and natural foods.
